In a world where challenges often turn into excuses, Prashant’s story stands as a powerful reminder that limits exist only in the mind. Born with polio, he lost the use of one leg and most of the other — but that never stopped him. If anything, it became the fire that fueled his unstoppable journey.
From Wheels to Wings
When Prashant discovered handcycling in 2018, it wasn’t just about finding a sport — it was about reclaiming motion, freedom, and identity. What began as an experiment soon turned into excellence.
Today, he proudly holds the title of India’s No.1 handcyclist and Asia’s No.2, representing the nation across continents with a spirit that refuses to yield.
From sweeping National Championships in India and Singapore year after year, to winning multiple medals at the Asian Road Para Cycling Championships, Prashant has made the impossible seem routine. His track record speaks volumes: consistent golds in Singapore Nationals since 2017, podium finishes across Asia, and participation in elite UCI Road Para Cycling World Cups and World Championships in Belgium, Italy, and Australia.

Breaking Barriers Beyond Cycling
But Prashant didn’t stop there. In 2025, he ventured into Hyrox, a global fitness competition that blends endurance and strength — and made history again.
He became the first adaptive winner at Hyrox Singapore and Hyrox Mumbai, showing the world that fitness has no boundaries.
“Hyrox, for me, is not just about competition. It’s about proving that movement belongs to everyone, no matter your ability,” he says. “Every finish line feels like our shared story.”
A Journey Fueled by Passion, Not Privilege
What makes his story even more inspiring is that Prashant has achieved all this without any government support.
Determined to chase his dream, he invested nearly ₹10 lakhs from his own savings to buy a world-class racing handbike — a decision that symbolized his belief that “dreams can’t wait for permission.”
Eyes on the Paralympics 2028
With medals, milestones, and moments of glory behind him, Prashant is now steering his journey toward the ultimate goal — representing India at the Paralympics 2028.
But for him, it’s about more than just personal victory. It’s about creating a movement — promoting Paracycling and Hyrox in India, and inspiring the next generation of athletes to rise above circumstances.
“If I can do it, anyone can do it,” he says, his words carrying the quiet confidence of someone who’s already conquered the hardest battles.
